Hi guys, I'm using PCSX for playstation(1) emulation on my xbox, although I'm having trouble with a game I downloaded. The game is Gran Turismo 2, and it was listed in the PSX section of a bitcomet site. After I burned the disc (mdf + mds) I had a "PSX", "OVL", "VOL", "DAT", AND "80" file. I realised that these were probably the actual playstation files, rather than being converted for emulation on the xbox. Am I right in thinking this is the reason it didn't work? Thanks.
You need to convert the game into BIN & CUE files. The BIN file will be transfered to your xbox to be played. Also, make sure you have the driver for the emulator or nothing will work for you.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I should have updated the thread and said that I eventually got it working by converting to bin and cue and ftp'ing to the box as you said. I'd rather put it on a dvd but various burning apps said that it needed to be a cd. Anyway, I have a whole new problem now ( ) - the game doesn't run well at all! It seems to get stuck on frames, graphics are awful (jaggy city man) and its generally very very jumpy. I'm not sure if I was expecting too much...
if you goto xbox-scene.com they have a compatability ist in their forums there. You will have to register there if you haven't already.
