I have DVD+R's that won't play movies on my X box, but my DVD-R's will. I was wondering if I was just using the wrong brand of DVD+R's. Does anyone else have problems with their X box playing DVD+R's? Thanks!

I wouldn't be surprised. Sony helped invent the DVD+R format so maybe Microsoft said screw it. Not sure. Also, DVD+R is not that old. Xboxes may not have ever been compatible and maybe they never made the new ones either.

That would absolutely suck. I was gonna buy some Verbatim's on Newegg and I just didnt know if i should get the + or -. Right now I'm thinking about getting DVD-R's.

All I use on my xbox is DVD+R. I used it all the time on my old [bold]Thomson[/bold] drive and now I use it on my Samsung 616. The problem may be your burner. Find out if your burner converts DVD+R to DVD-ROM format.

could also be the type of dye on the disk. I have had a few instances where two disks from the same brand, and also the same model of disk where one played and one didn't. It was the dye on the media that the player didn't like.
