I was wondering what the best/easiest method to re-encode parts of a main movie. For example if i rip a home dvd of mine that i want to backup and basically include everything that is on it, i know i can get rid of unwanted screens with dvd shrink or ifoedit but what about if i want to reencode all of the credits to save space so it can fit on a dvdr w/o the main movie losing quality? Would i have to extract the movie file from the dvd and than convert to mpg than edit the mpg like splice parts of it, re-encode than join it together and re-convert back to dvd? Sounds like a PITA i read someone doing something like making the credits smaller and parts of the beginning scenes etc, if someone could shed some light on this it would be great, thanks.
