Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

im new to cell phones and im trying to get my samsung hooked to my computer. im guessing i need a data cable. i have a x495 and ive searched around for a x495 data cable and cant find any except the one on samsung's site thats 80 dollars. are all samsung cables the same? also what prorgams can i use to with this phone to configure/upload stuff to it?

The phone is not very well supported outside of Samsung itself. There are few sites that offer the cable (serial) for about $10.00 but I don't know if the software supports serial connecetions. Most now are looking for USB, Bluetooth, or infrared. Dor right now if you want to connect to transfer imgages, sounds, etc., you're going to have to stick with the Samsung setup (soldout).
