dvd rom drive wont read dvd's

    Hi I just replaced my cd burner with a Samsung SD-612 drive, Problem is it can not seem to be able to read any dvd's No problems with cd's, audio & Mpg4 movie . I do not have original driver I thought XP would sort everything out for me.I have an LG 4120b burner with Cyberlink's Power dvd,Powerproducer Gold 2 Nero Ultra 6.6.0.16 . XP has this drive as working & Nero has dvd's listed.& firmware as 05. I checked out Samsungs W/Site & they have 3 612's & only markings I can see on my drive is SD-612
    Any help appreciated

    I have got it to read some older dvd's so it looks like firmware but which one to use as samsung have 3 sd612's listed ?

    Turns out I had deleted the original dvd Nero S/Ware that came with my LG burner.Reinstalled using orig cd that came with my burner & it fixed problems with both drives.
