After converting multiple AVI fiels to put on DVD how do you put multi episode to 1 DVD and break it up. Can you set chapters between episodes?

    Hi there,

    VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will:

    - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format

    - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases)

    - Add chapters to each files

    - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now)

    - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine

I believe he had already converted the AVI files to DVD compliant files.

No I haven't yet converted them Because I want to put multiple episodes per DVD I was waiting to see if you convert the files any differently. But I do plan to convert them. My big question I guess is this:
How do I seperate episodes on a single disk? If it's with chapters is there a way to tell where the first file and second file break to put the chapter there? This is my first forray into AVI tv shows to DVD so I am not sure. Subtitles won't be necessary on any of the files i plan to deal with. Just audio and video.

Well, then cougar_ii is correct, use VSO DivXtoDVD to convert AVI to DVD format. Then use the link I listed above to place those DVD files onto one DVD disk, called re-authoring.

    Hi sytyguy,

As stated above, DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will do all he needs in 1 pass. He won't need DVDShrink (Re-Author) !

He can load his .avi, convert them

Make sure he doesn't cross the 4300mb, so only a few files to convert !

Create a menu, chapters, and burn directly in DivxToDVD.

YES he will need DVDShrink if he uses the Freeware v0.5.2b version, because it will not do any of these, other than convert the file !

    cougar_ii,

I used it once, and I guess I did not know that, or forgot, it was sometime ago.

    Thanks for the clarification,

    Rich
