I want to connect my PC and TV to surround sound speakers to enjoy music from my pc, and movies and ps2 on my tv through 5.1 surround sound. my pc is a sony vaio M1 so it doesnt have a standard sound card. the only output i have from it is the headphone socket. is this sufficient for connecting to surround sound speakers? i have standard stereo phono outputs from my tv. Is this sufficient? This is what im thinking of getting: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/news/GB/EN,contentid=10985,crid=34
anyone know much about these speakers? they sound pretty good. I read somewhere that the connections are compatable with a ps2. which connection comes from a ps2? Would you recommend getting an external sound card, like this: http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=204&product=9103&nav=1 or is it not necessary? What would you recommend i get for what i want? Any help would be much appreciated. dont make it too complicated though as i wont understand. thanks again

Could this be what you're looking for?
You can check out http://www.PCcables.com for other stuff. Maybe you can find exactly what you're looking for there. Good luck!
