Hey i have a dvd-rom drive its realy really old ,I tried to buy a blank dvd in it and it didnt reconize it,When i put a movie in it worked...the dvd rom player is called DVD-ROM DDU1211

What do you expect when you put a blank DVD into a DVD-ROM?

The DVD has no data on it - so how can the ROM recognise or read it.

Naturally if the DVD contains data, the ROM will recognise/read it.

Formats - or + have nothing to do with the equation.

If it's really old it could jsut be that you need to booktype the +/- to DVD ROM.

 

First of all I;d like to say thx for posting,I justed bumbed it yesterday, well my cd drive reconizes blank cds, so colw does your dvd drive reconize blank dvd-r

 

What do you mean it recognizes blank CDs, what happens? I put a blank in my comp it doesn't do anything, just waits.

Where? does a screen just pop up and says "700 mb free"? And you are talking about ROM right? as in a dvd player.

YES!!I KNOW!! Of course it reads games and movies, cause that's what a DVD ROM does.

A blank disc is as good as not having disc in there at all (unless you're flashing firmware). I haven't had a blank ever read, I don't know about you. I don't really know what you are asking? I've already answered the original question in my previous post. Read back a few post.

someone please tell how i can use my ASUS TV7134 WDM Video Capture with came with my comuter i tryed to make it work on windows movie maker by connecting a cable to my vcr because i want edit my movie but i am have big trouble??????!!
