Burning DVD to DVD+R

I am having a problem whereby after I compress my DVD's using DVD shrink, I am not able to burn them onto my DVD+R disk. Each time that I load a blank disk into the drive, the message says attempting to recognize logic device (or something to that effect) and then it says medium not present. Basically, my DVD decrypter software is not recognizing the blank disk that I have loaded. I have tried several brands of DVD+R disks including Sony and Phillips 16X. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and/or suggest a solution.

what's the make and model of your burner. Is it compatible with +R disks? Will it burn -R disks? I would recommend going to manufactor website of burner and see what brand disks +R or -R the recommend. If the disks manufactor recommends will not burn you may have a bad burner.
Could be as simple as reloading latest version of decrypter.

    Good Luck

Also make sure your firmware is up to date and ID your phillips media with this free proggy http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ Phillips buys a lot of media from cmc magnetics which is garbage.
