This is what i see when i try to access one of my DVD+R disks. My drive says it can read DVR+R disk's but obviously something is wrong here. I was wondering if anyone could lend some advice. Thank you in advance
Hodson, I have had this same issue for quite a while now - i dont know why its doing this but I am 99.9% sure its a software issue - HOWEVER - despite the fact that I see this message in "MY COMPUTER" I can STILL BURN to the disk in any program I have - Nero, Record now, etc. For some reason, only when I try to view the blank disks through MY COMPUTER does this happen (shrugs shoulders) - Is it only happing with your BLANKS? I believe it could be an ASPI LAYER issue - but so far I have not been able to fix that problem. HOWEVER once again, I am still able to burn them whenever I do something within any of my programs. have you tried to go through the full process all the way through the burning session? You really didnt give alot of specifics
I have just tried to go ahead with the burning. Nero seems to accept the disk but Alcohol 120% will not. In Alcohol, it shows the disk is there but will not let me proceed and add files to the disk. Sorry about not adding much information, i am a newbie and dont know alot.
Dont worry about that hobson, most of us try our best to communicate our questions and responses - sometimes what we think in our head is not what exactly comes out on "paper" *LOL* Anyway, so lets go from here - NERO is recognizing it but Alkohol is not ... Are you wanting to back up a movie or something ?
I am wanting to use it to back up xbox iso files. This is all new to me and i just did one but i dont know if it has worked correclty and i cant test it of as yet.
Well let us know how it goes when you get the chance - I dont really do games - so if you have problems after testing it someone else will have to help you with that one - also keep in mind - there is a a seperate forum for games section - IF the necessity arises.
