Burning .mpg with dvdSanta v3.45

    I am burning a .mpg file to a DVD-R with dvdSanta v3.45.

    Is there any way to speed it up. The reason for asking is that the display i have in front of me is reading:

    Source Position: 00:29:55
    Elapsed Time: 00:36:45
    Remaining TimeL 01:22:10

    Does this not seem quite a long time to burn a DVD-R?

    I *think* it is a 8x/4x DVD Writer.

    Any replies are appreciated.

    hi there well i always make sure to disable any programs not needed during my burns, disable screensavers of course and aslo disable preview screens this speeds things up a bit, I am using a p4 2.4ghz with 1gb ram and I always burn at 4x for quality reasons. I don't use dvd santa but use either of these 3 vso divx to dvd, cucusoft mpeg to dvd, or nero vision express, hope that helps good luck
