Command And Conquer Generals problem

    i have got some files bin and cue format.i then burned both discs disc 1 is fine disc 2 on the other hand got to 100% installed then gave me an error 3 choices cancel,ignore,retry i just ignored and then carried on it then proceeded to give me another error and then uninstalled all the previous data
    i was wondering if theres anyway i could check the file for errors or any other suggestions at all

    You can scan the original image (.BIN/.CUE) with CDmage (command 'Action'---> Scan for corruption).
    After using the 'locate' command you can know the files that are corrupted so you might try to replace them.

    hi thanks did that and there was 86 corrupted sectors can i fix them somehow

    Well, CDMage can try to repair them (right-click on the error log then choose 'Repair') but it will not do that effectively on 100% of the errors. Some file will be corrupted and I'm afraid the installer will detect that then aborting the installation.

    If the game was unprotected, you could have tried to 'locate' the errors finding which file is corrupted and, if the file is small, ask someone to send it to you. But I'm afraid the protection scheme will not allow that.

    So I'm afraid you'll have to get a new good image.

    Keep the old one, though. If the second has errors, too, but on different sectors you will be able to build a good image by merging two bad ones (using the 'import sectors' CDMage command on the broken sectors).
