When attepmting to join 2 AVIs, I get the folowing error:
    ---------------------------
    VirtualDub Error
    ---------------------------
No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format.
    (source format tag: 2000)
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

I'm hoping this will fix my audio out-of-sync problem.
Anyone know how to resolve this?

    thanks!!!

Sounds like you are performing 2 operations at once: (1) joining 2 avi's and (2) converting the audio format.

This usually works if you are converting the audio from uncompressed to something like Lame3 mp3 but VirtualDub could have a problem if you want to convert from one mp3 bitrate to another.

I suggest you do a direct stream for the audio and video to join the avi's then perform a decompression of the audio to wav; then redub the video with the wav file as source and select your new audio compression at this point. You can better control the file size by using VirtualDub's calculator in the compression setting.
