    ive posted this elsewhere

but im tryin to make my own dvd with files that are on my cpu already with this program. i get thru all the steps and basically get to the burn process

it transcodes all the movies but it gets menu 1 and it just stalls out

and then eventually it exits on its own back to my desktop

ive tried the slowest burning speed
    highest
    middle
    burning straight to dvd
    burnign straight to hard drive

    still cant get it working

    any ideas
    thanks
    larry

Are your Menus animated by any chance? I have noticed that if a menu is animated it will cause a lock up.

Try getting rid of scenes as well.

See if it will burn then.

If that does not help, I am out of ideas.

i got a little farther(i think) this time. i say i think cause i really never actually stayed in the rom while it was finishin the cd. Anyways i used a gif this time and cut some scenes like u said. I got to where the dvd was like 3.5 gb. this was the first time i had scene it get past menu one transcoding

i saw it get 2 menu 3 this time. Left the room, came back and back to the desktop.

    I wish you luck.

    Hi lmac222,
    I had the same problem.

Tryed everything & lost hours of my free time :(

At the end I did two things:
    - upgrade to the latest version (from Nero site)
    - in NVE click MORE>>> & then CONFIGURE, under GENERAL tab you'll see FORMAT OF SAVED MEDIA FILES - turn it to the format you're using (I used .jpg format).

Now everything works almost perfect for me.
    Hope this will help you!

Click Nero Smartstart, then go to the Nero product center (which is the fire button in the lower right hand corner).

It will tell you what version you have, and also if you wish it to check, it can check and see if a newer version is available.
