.dat files out of sync

i have 2 bin files, i extracted them but there were 2 .dat files for each disc, not mpg or avi. i watched the video and the sound was fine, but then i used divx2dvd to convert it to a dvd, but now the sound is out of sync with the video after the conversion. what do u think is wrong. nobody responded in the other forumssince i have newbie status
