    Welcome to aD!
first thing - edit out that serial number - begins w/ 1A. Don't want someone else using it!
Your firmware is up to date but the Nero log only shows that your using a +R - not the manufacturer id. Usually Nero will show this.
usually menas your drive doesn't like the media.
Take one of the maxell and memorex and use Nero tool Kit to identify the manufacturer. Memorex usually uses poor manufacturers - stay away - but maxell can use some good ones. Post back with the id.

Eck! Unfortunately you got the worst Memerox. Trash em - or try and take them back. CMC is probably the worst manfacturer.
Now for the Maxell - those should be good but your drive is not liking them.
Your log is from the Memerox burn showing a burn speed of 2.4. What burn speed are you using with the Maxell?
Edited to add: Don't forget to edit your serial # out of your post

Amish don't tell me you got those Memorex from Future shop also. LMAF

I brought the SONY back to Walmart cause they were 19.99 can and saw the MEMOREX at 17.99 at future shop.

Mind you I learned a lot and steel learning. good luck

No prob on the typos - make tons myself :)
Both Maxell are good. Do you have any other burning software to test the maxell with? I'm actually surprised those aren't working.

Your drive doesn't like that manfacturer unfortunatley. I'd stick with Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim DataLifePlus (my fav's). In store for Taiyo's try fuji or sony - only the made in japan though.

They should - their the brand most recommended by drive manufacturers.
If in the US buy online from:
https://supermediastore.com (the one I mostly use)
    https://rima.com
    https://meritline.com
Stick w/ reputable online dealers for TY - you want to make sure you get the real thing.

editted to add: rima is good - here's a link for the same ones at supermedia:
    http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-silver-thermal-8x-dvd-plus-r-media.html

If you got them from rima or supermedia I'm sure you got the 'real deal'. I've burned a lot of TY's and no probs here! They're actually better media than Ricoh - just stay away from those Memorex!
Post back your results with the ty's - good, bad or otherwise.

Well you can try updating your firmware on your drive if it's not already. You may be sol though depending on who manufactured the discs. I've never heard of Sky Blue. Can you post your Nero log?
