RAM

I need to source 2 gig of RAM for a new system
Any one got a recommendation for a couple of strips of RAM ?

If I may add soemthing I think is important, I would personally check ASUS's website to see what RAM your Mobo supports & what ASUS recommends for compatibility. Just what I would do. Everyone has their own way of doing things like this. I prefer "By the book". In my own opinion, 1 Gig is plenty of RAM. Especially if you have a Dual Channel board.I have a matched pair of 512 sticks, and I NEVER use over 1/3 of it in any application. Just an opinion to think on.

I agree with the last comment, however I already know someone using this mobo and using the latter RAM I suggested with a dual core processor.
It is also recommended to use 2GB not 1GB of RAM for windows 64 to get the max performance. It is also better to use 2 sticks not 4, as it is quicker.
As long as you use good quality RAM, you won't go wrong, and the lower the latency the better, I don't think you will find a better make of RAM that the Corsair PRO range, and as TwinX is a matched pair, the sticks have been tested together for max compatibility.

Interesting remark on the 2 gig
It is a W64 OS so I will continue with the 2 x 1gb route

Yes it is Windows 64, I've read a few articles explaining that once you get to 2GB + on 64 then you notice a significant improvement in performance.
