    HI,
i have used nero from v5 to 6 to 6.6 for copying audio cds and dvds,,for the past 2 years with no probs at all...dont know what i have done but now when i go to copy a cd/dvd..it comes up with error messege..
    NERO EXPRESS
X NERO WAS UNABLE TO CREATE A TEMPORARY FILE TO STORE THE FILES THAT WERE DRAGGED INTO THE COMPILATION. PLEASE CHECK THE NERO CACHE PREFERENCES PAGE AND SELECT A VALID CACHE PATH.
IVE TRIED ALL THAT and used the path it choose b4 temp file 1..no avail..i have fully uninstalled nero and re-installed it 3 time but to no avail...even done 2 system restores to aug and june still nope stopps on 2nd or 3rd track transfer(on audio cds) and on dvd gets to about 75% of movie and cuts out my burner(wasted disks)lots!!
i tried windows media player for some cds and stops to,,HOWEVER REAL PLAYER DID 3 MP3 TO CDR ALBUMS LAST NIGHT NO PROBS AT ALL..SO BURNER WORKS..AS DID 1 DVD IN DVD SHRINK 3 NO PROBS BUT NERO DEAD NOT...WHY PLEASE HELP ....

hi, let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar. You can differentiate sections via this section divider "======*** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

    - firmware's up to date so it's not that..

    - oh dear, 256MB isn't much, i consider 512MB to be the minimum. Either way you're gonna have to free up more memory prior to all DVD work

    - you're burning too close to outer edge of discs. If you use DVD Shrink, set target size to 4300MB in Shrink's preferences thus avoiding outer edge and not sacrificing much space

    - splat!, let's hope it's just the low memory and burning to edge of disc

    - a-ha, there's another clue - your ATAPI drivers aren't loaded correctly, fix via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm
