    A question for you is what make, model, of DVD burner do you have. Not all makes and models have the capability to change booktype. Post more info on your burner and somone will answer your question.

    To the best of my knowledge Pioneer Drives cannot be set to booktype unless you use 3rd. party firmware which will void any warranty you may have left. Some of the more experienced members could provide more info regarding your drive and setting the booktype. PM Mort81 or Kivory perhaps.

    i knew i heard my name mentioned..lol...

    i can't seem to find the pioneer dvr-r100???? as you mentioned, it's too early in the morning...

    *sleepy* if you can lead me to your drive's make and model i CAN and will be able to help you out regarding pioneers, as i am one of the FEW people here on AfterDawn (that i know of) that has successfully made my Pioneer dvr-109 bitset/booktype capable~ :)

    clu05,

    It appears your drive does support booktyping (bitsetting), and it does it by default to DVD-ROM, looky here, towards the bottom of the page.

    @kivory666

    Perhaps you can assist me as well. I have a Sony DRU120A on my desktop and a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532M on my laptop...neither appears to be capable of booktype changing. The L532M seems to default to DVD-ROM but the Sony is set to DVD+R booktype. Is there any way to alter either of these drives to allow booktype changing??
