Any advice as to the best way and program to edit AVI videos? I'm concerned of not losing quality or image resolution, i have tried TMPEG Enc but the results weren't satisfying, specially since the resulting file is much larger than the original, i'm only interested in editing AVI to AVI (divx or xvid) and getting rid off unwanted frames from the video...any help in the matter wiil be appreciated.

As long as you only cut on keyframes then you don't need to recompress.

    Try VirtualDubMod.

VirtualDub is super to use for all kinds of fast edits without recompress. Note: sometimes you need to cut from key frame to key frame otherwise you might get audio synchronization problems.

In other words, back the file up before you monkey with it.

    Good luck.
