I know people have tried both versions of CCE with DVD Rebuilder Pro. I am condsidering buying the basic version but wanted to know if it is worth it. I have read people having issues with the basic version (dropped frames, etc.) Also is the quality the same for both?
The Basic version of CCE is 60.00 the SP ver. is 2000.00, unless you are using the trial which has a big logo in the corner of the picture. I have the Basic verion and have not had a problem using this with RB. If you are really worried about it RB comes with HCEnc, which is free and does just a good a job as CCE only it slower. Just my 2 cents.
curiousity killed the cat and i bought cce basic, however hc works just as well, as arnie bear said only slower, what takes 120 min with cce basic takes around 270 min with hc, everything ive read states that cce basic has the same engine as cce sp
