I have been able to get movies with the avi extension succesfully, but have one that is an .rar extension and can't seem to get it copied to DVD. I have winrar and i extract the files(if i'm doing that right) but am lost as to what to do after that, can someone please explain the next steps in some detail or point me to the guide link as to what to do. Thanks.

Highlight the 2 files you want to extract.....right click on it and it should have EXTRACT button, hit that..... then it will ask you,"extract to?" .... either make a folder or put it in a place where you know it will be when extracted to! once you have those files on your hard drive burn as you usually do! ok? I hope that helps! if you can't extract both files at the same time.... then do them one at a time! good luck!

The two files that you extracted are .AVI files. Those are the movie files part 1 & 2. They can be played using Windows Media Player. They are not in DVD format so you won't be able to burn them to DVD and play it in a DVD player. You have to convert them first.
    Download-- VSO DvixtoDVD--
    Install and open the program
Place both .AVI files in the file to convert box
Next box..set up a folder you want the converted file to go to.
Press the convert button and wait about an hour
Both .AVI files will be converted and put together automatically as one file in DVD format.
Then use DVDshrink and DVD decrypter to burn it on a DVD
    'voala' you're done.
Use this for all your .AVI files.

Also....a little hint if your interested,
The VSO program also allows you to convert two different movies at the same time as one. You will then have two movies on one DVD disc.
I usually do this on a regular. No loss in quality or anything. Just a perfect two movie DVD.

Jah.....I'm sorry.... I thought that ewddy knew that it needed converting to DVD format! He was just asking how he would extract the files so he can do that!? sorry I was mistaken!
