When you make nonstandard DVD, whether it will be playable on your DVD
player differs from the various brands of DVD players.
You should check which specifications your DVD player supports before
    making nonstandard DVD-Videos.

Below is detailed information on making Standard DVD videos which will/should be playable on all dvd players.

    [bold]Resolutions[bold]
Only certain resolutions will work when converting to DVD these are:

    NTSC (America)

    704x480 pixels
    720x480 pixels

    PAL (Europe)

    704x576 pixels
    720x576 pixels

    [bold]Framerates[bold]
Only certain framerates reflect each format, its best to stick to the format which your video file was first formated in, these are:

    NTSC
    23.9 fps
    29 fps

    PAL
    25fps

There are also many other framerates to consider but the above ones are used much frequently in most DVDs.

    Hope this helps

Im sure its easier if someone were to post information about making standard dvd's i was only tryin to help.

In the future i wont give out help to newbies? do you think people enjoy taking the time to read each and everyone of the forum rules? im sure about 5% of us read them, most rules just imply we dont use abusive language or give out illegal links etc. i havent heard of a rule where you cannot post information reguarding standard and nonstandard dvd formats in a thread/forum called dvd-authoring?

    get a grip mate.

If you can find the spot where I posted any of the things you attribute to me I'd love to see it. I was simply pointing out that the information is available in a sticky at the top of the forum. As you said, get a grip.
