Hello oh gods of dvd authordom........I have but one request. guide me in my noble quest to add a subtitle file to a divx movie. Or i could convert the divx to dvd files and add it then but either way give me some help on this one guys.The file is separate from the actual movie and is a text file

Try DVDSanta or VSO DivXtoDVD (commercial version).

how would you go about doing this then, Im having the same problem, I have vso and I have dvd santa. I tried using dvd santa on a movie which is in two parts the first part went nice but the second part of the movie is a total of 50min and it only converts about 3min or so I also tried winavi and none work how can I do this??

What kind of files do you have (e.g. AVI, mpeg), and do they have separate subtitle files?

the file is an AVI and it is a seperate subtitle file. When I convert using dvd santa it only does half the file and shuts down and winavi doesnt do anything. Any sugestions???

Your AVI may be containing some errors. Try check and correct with e.g. AviFixed, but be sure to back up the AVI first:
