It is a nice tut, but it only cover's 1 method of bridging. A lot of people want to create bridges using Wireless routers and laptops that have built in wireless AND an ethernet port.

    It is very good, but.....

I have my xbox conected through my router. Can I have it set up like this? Or do I need it to be connected through a ethernet card at te back of my computer? I only have 1 ethernet port at the back of my computer at the moment. Everything else im fine with.

    Can anyone help me?

if you have a router it's the same way cablemodem-router-pc-xbox, this is exactly how i have my bridge setup and it works flawlessly

@fluxx, man, it's not even 10 bucks for a network card, go get a network card, install it, plug the cross over cable into it and connect the other end to your xbox

Apparently If you connect through an ethernet LAN NIC card, your speed online drops by a few ms.

But if you have a slow connection, believe me you really notice it. One minute your on quagulation with an energy sword charging towards someone, next minute, you've been obliterated by a rocket launcher :p

yes people there are lots of ways to bridge your conection. what i have is simple and wireless. go to walmart and get a Imac AIRPORT and then a LYNKSES CARD for the pc and then get a G-BRIDGE from LYNKSES. the bridge thing is for your xbox. now put the bridge on your xbox and the card on your pc. then put the airport from Imac on your moddem. to do that put the eternet cord in the airport and the other end of the ethernet cord in your moddem. then go and plug the Imac Airport in. now go to your pc and connect to the internet and make sure the IP address is the same. now do the same thing with your xbox and there you have it wireless connection for both xbox and pc at the same time.

Its alright, I wouldn't suggest it for someone who doesn't know much about stuff like this. http://halocheatz.tk Theirs is much shorter, simpler, and probably more effective.
