I have a xbox that has been giving me problems for 2 months first thing is it has the chip in and the chip works but the software slayer can not be ran on the xbox because it doesnt see it it has a samsung drive i put a 80g HD in it i tried to do a 1on1 copy from other xbox and it got slayers menu on there but it was missing avalaunch and other things that i think i probley need it wont read a burnt disk say a burnt game. and now i can see F: when i flashfxp to it or i would copy my F: drive to that xbox but dont see it i dont know im lost if u can plz help me.
it doesn't see f drive because you need to run slayers to create the disk partitions on the hd. simply copying 1-1 won't work.
yeah,just do a format and install with slayers. Then transfer all the stuff you want from the other box to the new one. There should be some kind of file manager that you can use to get rid of what you don't want or are gunns replace before you do the transfering.
the xbox samsung drive does not see the slayer disc and i know the disc works beacuse thats how i got the other xbox done if it would see the disc i know i'd be done with this issue but i dont know maybe theres something im just not seeing.
Wow a sammy isn't reading it. What is it burned on? DVD-r, +r, CD/RW? Try burning on Dvd-r at low speed (2x) Samsung's are the best for reading media, so that is a bit weird. You do not have to use slayers, if you are able to copy the entire C over you can do this. Edit evox .ini, and you will need the "disk.bin" from the root of slayers's. Make sure you have this C copy on your computer to FTP over, cause if you format w/o transfering this over you will get error screens. Add a line that says Add that somewhere in your menu so you can select it. Then towards the bottom of your evox.ini, in the actions, add this. Make sure "disk.bin is in the root of C, or whatever directory your evox dash and ini are in. It might work if yuo just put in "Format f: and nothing else, but I can't verify that, never tried it. Let me know if you do, be nice to know. Use this if you can't get slayer's disc to work, just make sure you have everything backed up on computer, and you will have to and add all apps and directories yourself via ftp.
