    Hi all,

Downloaded about 30+ ratDVD films & uploaded around about the same amount. Had no problems what so ever so far. I know how to play/convert & Rip ratDVD files.

But I've recently downloaded a ratDVD file from a site I use regualy & had no problems with in the past. Anyway the sites spanish & I can't speak a word of spanish.

But the film doesn't play correctly, it stutters along & doesn't play smoothly. Anyone else had this problem & know of a way to correct the problem ??

Hi! I started using RatDVD recently, but since the very first time I tried to play ANY RatDVD files, this stuttering thing also happened to me. I must point out that I can play ANY other kind of movie (AVI, MPEG, DVD, Real, etc.) without trouble. This only happens to RatDVD files.

Hi AA! Wow! It's hard to believe nobody else besides us had this problem. I posted this comment to reinforce yours, but it seems nobody saw us here, in need of help. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US!! :) I still cannot play a ratDVD without the stuttering thing, no matter how it was encoded, high quality or low quality, constant quality or contant bitrate, its always the same. AA, have you had any change there? Thanks! Bye!

I'Ve also encountered this "stuttering" problems. also on any movie so far, sometimes fiercer than othertimes :) i've got a amt xp 2000+ and 768MB, is it to low for playback (I've tried playing 2 xvids and it runs smoothly...) so, to use the words of the poster above, i wanna enforce this problem in your headz too :)

so, if someone got a workaround, plz post...

Everyone who told me they had the stuttering problem also had some kind of resource lag, slow processor or not enough memory. If you are sure you have a fast processor, no resource lag and loads of memory then I don't know what to tell you.

    Hi!
I'm sure. I've even tried closing ALL unnecessary processes to clean up memory, but the result was absolutely the same. It's worthy mentioning that without closing anything, I am able to play ALL other sorts of media, like AVI (DivX, XviD, Etc.), DVD, VCD, SVCD, RM, etc., all play smoothly. Is RatDVD so "heavier" than all the other kinds of video, including high quality DivX???

I think it has to do with the video card having to scale the image not the actual decoding of the video. I really wanna know what causes this problem because if you divert some of the scaling to a fast processor cause you have a sucky 32 mb video card that would okay.

My videocard is a GeForce 2 MX400, it has 64mb of video memory. It should do the job!!!
