Ok, ive read a few topics on this but im totally confused.

I have two media types one is FujiFilm 8x +R R03's
    the other is Dynex 4x +R AML's

i know the Dynex is crap, except whenever i try to burn with the R03's i get a "DVD-Video Reallocation Failed" message, except that when i burn to the Dynex's i dont get that message and the disc works fine. If i continue to burn on the R03's the dvd reads incompatible on my player. Any help?

Also i have the OEM version of my Lite-On 1633S, ive tried to update my firmware, but the new firmware just wont load on. and the current BPSA F/W doesnt allow booktyping/bitsetting

    Hi there.
Bizzarely, I have the same problem. I'm using sony dvd-r's at 8x with a sony 16x dvd writer.
I have two burners - a matshita (panasonic) one that came with my laptop and the new external sony one I got so i can burn dvd's on the fly.
I only get the "file reallocation failiure" message when I try to burn dvd movies that I've ALREADY COPIED TO MY HARD DISK.
When I try to burn on the fly, things go smoothly.
Now here's the strange part - even though I used to get the reallocation message, I continued with the burn (happened to me several times with the same outcome) - and the dvd's turned out perfectly fine inspite of the warning and even another message that said there was an error!! try it out for yourself... see if it works...
