    Hi
I'm REALLY having trouble with converting movies onto DVD. I have wasted countless number of DVDs (namely 10 :( just trying to put the darn movie onto my DVD Player. I looked in the forums, don't understand the lingo. I successfully downloaded the avi. movie and now i can convert it onto a CD and watch it on the computer but not onto a DVD.
When i put the movie on the DVD, it burned -leads me to conlcude it worked successfully. But whenever i put the DVD in my DVD player it says that the type of disc can't be played. I'm using a DVD+R and the Click to DVD program on my computer. What is this about NEMO and DIVX ? Thanks so much for your help,G

Your problem could be a great number of things... Someone may be able to narrow it down, but it would be very helpful to know what kind of burner you are using, the media are using, software you are using, etc. Until then, very general advise is all you may get.

Does your burned DVD play on your PC? Did you convert your avi file to a video file? Does your standalone DVD player play +R media?

My guess is that you burnt a .avi file onto a DVD+R disc. In that case it would not play in a standalone dvd player.

What we need to know is are you trying to take a .avi file from your computer and play it in a standalone dvd player

    -or-

are you trying to make a backup of a dvd?

Please provide us with as much info as possible as mentioned above and I'm sure we can help you out =)

    EDIT: Welcome to aD!
