Tried flashing the firmware to make it region free but it comes up with message "Device not found". I have managed to update to the latest firmware but can't seem to get this working
Without flashing your drive's firmware, you can use software like DVD43 or DVD Region Killer to make your DVD drive region free. Are you sure it was the correct firmware for the burner? Where did you obtain the region-free firmware? Most flashers are pretty diligent at making sure the firmware matches the burner hence the possible error message you obtained.
