okay i've used xlink for years so now i bought a wireless router, and a wireless notebook (laptop), and this is what i tried -plugged xbox into router and ran xlink with port forwarded port and everythin -then i tried that briging thing but i dont think i did that right -and then i tried plugging the ethernet cable from xbox into computer and that didnt work. i really got like half knowledge on those three steps, but i just wanna know IS IT POSSIBLE to run xlink how i have my setup
You have to verify that your wireless networking card supports Promiscuous Mode. How to find out, I don't know...I have tried searching for a method but have come up empty. If you find out, let me know. All I know for sure is the card MUST support this to connect and play on KAI wirelessly.
whoa i think im really close i was just f'n around with that network bridge stuff, so i bridged my wireless connection my pc to the lan connection that i use if i plug somthin into my ethernet port and it bridged and stuff, i port forwarded kai and then opened it, i got network reachable yes, and console detected. so i did a happy dance but then i saw the list of games to join on my box and did another happy dance but when i tried to join one it always disconected me on xlink forums they say its probably a firewall prob. but i have no firewall and xp one is off
[bold]HOLY CRAP I DID IT[/bold] if you want me to tell you how to do it reply so i know you care and i dont waist my time
