Hello. I have two movies on my computer which are both showing as being approximatly 720kbs in size. I have run them through avi Codec to see what they are all about as in Explorer they are only known as a "Video File" Type. I would like to copy these files to a DVD-R which is 4.7gb in size however when i try this they are apparently to big for the disc, the maths doesn't work for me somewhere. Anyway, what would i have to do to copy these tings onto the same disc? Would i have to convert them to another format, i want them to play on both my PC and my DVD player/TV. I have a program called Sonic "My DV" installed on here, will this do the job? I am a total newbie to this sort of stuff so i do apologise for being stupid.
Hi there, VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will: - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases) - Add chapters to each files - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now) - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine If the end result is bigger than 4.3 Gb, you can then use DVDShrink to reduce it, so it will fit on a DVD5 media. I can usually fit 2 x 700 Mb files converted on 1 DVD5...
Thank you very much i'm suing divxtodvd right now to convert both files. I will then need both files loading onto the dvd+r disc, to make a seamless dvd movie. i presume this will be no problem. Would i be correct in saying that i need to find the converted MPEG4 files, then copy both iso files onto the disc.
Hi there, If the original files are .ISO, you will need to EXTRACT those .mpg file to your HD. You can use ISO Buster. Or Burn then on CD-R Or Mount them to a virtual CDROM drive, with tools like Daemon Tools. One both .mpg files are on your HD, load both of them in DivxToDVD. Once converted, that VIDEO_TS folder is ready to be burned to 1 DVD+R media.
