this was my first error log

now that was running at 32 and the cds support 52x and my burner suggest a max of 40x. i generally like to go one under with all my cds and dvd to minimise error. this came up with that DOA error.

I then went down to good 'ole fashions 24x and came up with this

now i now a bit about computer but when it comes to this stuff im walking in the dark.

    and ideas, anything would help...

    Here's what I see.
The latest version of 6 is 6.6.0.16 - up date to that to one.
The latest firmware for your drive is 1.57. Here's a link:
    ASUS DRW-1608P> Version: 1.50
Not too bad - but don't multi task and try shutting down some processes to free up some ram.
Editted to add: Almost forgot this one -
DMA is off - you need to turn it back on. Here's a guide if needed:
    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking DMA.pdf
Eck! CMC - the worst and probably biggest cause of your failed burn. For cd's I would recommend Fuji and Maxell - look for made in Japan.
Caused by the awful cmc media.

you're using 'nvatabus' drivers, so you need something nvidia-releated ie drivers for the DMA fix, but i think MaxBurn has answered that in your other therad....
