Can anybody advise if you can burn multisessions on a dvd. I can find any info on it. I know you can burn multisession on cd Any info will be greatly appreciated Thanks
You usually can't burn multisession on a DVD. At least not like you can on a CD. None of the various burning programs I use allow the use of a DVD that has already been recorded on. I don't ever select a multisession option either though so you may want to try that. I did a quick Google and found some notes to add: Part of the DVD Specification is that DVDs must be recorded as "Disc at Once". If you do manage to get two or more sessions on a DVD, chances are that you will only be able to play it in your computer. You could try this with Nero if you select "multisession" and then use a DVD RW disc. From what I've read, you may only be able to see the last session recorded. Usually the best way to get various items on a DVD is to make a compilation on your HDD and then burn everything once.
Some programs (e.g. Nero) do allow multi-session burning. But as fasfrank indicated, many people have experienced trouble retrieving data after several attempts. So it's rather risky.
