Hey
Ok, I have a problem with Xbox 60 SS Merger,
I downloaded Smackdowm vs. Raw 2006 (PAL), it came down in loads of rar files. when i extracted like normail its just a .iso file

So I went along with this tutorial and downloaded Xbox SS Merger and got an ss.bin file for the PAL version of the game.

So heres what I've done,
Opened SS Merger 1.6,

Typed ss-wwe into "Game Name" (thats the name of the .iso

Then for "ISO" file I put into sp-wwe.iso
For Video Partition I put Included in Iso (Wxripper Style).

And when it asks to detect an md5 file I clicked YES
But after a couple of minutes it comes up with a big error message starting with
"Error Connection to the database:"

I can't get further than this, I changed Video Partition to Insert Iso just to see would it come up with an MD5 number and it didn't.

What do I do, is there an alternate way of buring with just the .iso if this can't be resolved.

whenever there's an error with ss merger regarding connection.. it generally means a netframework2 error.. just reinstall.... or install it ;) and give it another try.

You can't. If you're worried 'bout your warranty this hack is not for you. Stick with Xbox 1 softmods.

Hello all
Does anyone know if there is a way to change the region of a game if I have a backup of it? (I have ISO file and .DVD file, prepatched). I have a NTSC-J (japan) XBOX360 and I have backed up a PAL game. and another question, where can I find backups for NTSC-J games (or region free games)? - almost all the games i see r NTSC or PAL...

thanx

Eitan

@eitanr

im sure you cannot cahnge the region of a game as its in an iso and if u change the iso then the game will not work

@arjun25

you need to either get the firmware mod or get a chip e.g frqactal 360

Thanks for the reply

I already have a modded XBOX360 which I purchesed in thailand. I don't know what type of chip it has, because it came modded, but the different regions still won't work. Backups that i have of NTSC-J do work...

Besides that, is there a way I can find out what kind of mod i have?

unless it doesn't say on startup... you'll have to open up your console.. if it's not a chip then your cd drive was flashed.

Hey guys, i have a bit of a problem here.

I'm using some rather crappy media because i'm not able to get my hands on Verbs anytime soon. After a few fails i set my writer to X2.4 and it worked fine. I get no errors during burning, everything goes smooth, and it finishes...

And then when i pop it in the 360 it detects it as a movie DVD, and gives me the message "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console" wtflol?

I used IMGburn, all settings are correct, i've triple-checked everything.
I have a Samsung 360 drive, most forgiving drive there is.
The iso/image is pre-patched.
Though i used some rather crappy DVD's (MCM MAG), even the more expensive ones (RICOH's) didn't work. They burn perfectly fine, but won't run on the box. I get the stupid "put it in an Xbox 360 console".

In the tray-status at dashboard, it says "DVD", so it does read it as a DVD. But it gives me the message that should appear when i try to run a 360 game on a PC.

I'm all out of ideas and options, i only have 5 DL discs left from a friend of mine, and i don't want to waste them invain. Could anyone plz help me out???

Did this problem get solved??

Need help plz

I think it was, he never replied back.. usually that means it has been solved and they're too busy playin' to let us know. ;)

if youre having problems with the computer recognizing a certain type of media.. just use cloneCD.. the Write to Image button is always highlighted to use.. even when there isn't a media in the drive.

i'm grabbing my pioneer 111d burner next week. i'm just preparing myself on which burning program to use. after doing research on this topic, a majority recommends clonecd. but i came across this thread concerning dvd decryptor:

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=514437

from what i understand, clonecd won't detect a problem with the backup until after you've wasted your DVD+R DL disc. with decryptor, it'll give you a warning before attempting the burn. anyone in here used decryptor without a problem so far?

now i see the difference between verbatim disc's and the rest. i burned most of my games on office depot dvd+r's and i have to clean them everytime so they can load. the verbatim disc ive dropped many times and never clean it and loads right away. clonecd by far is the easiest way to go

jup.. I use cloneCD and Verbatim disc

but still "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console"

The iso i have is Stealth patched and SS, not by me anyway, but that should not be any problem right ?

argh!

Hey all!

I am burning backups of 360 games, but I don't have my modded 360 yet. I am using a Plextor 716a (latest firmare) and have tried both CloneCD and ImgBurn (latest verions) with Verbatim DVD+R DL. The problem I'm having is that SOME of the games that I burn will not show an Audio_TS or Video_TS folder and the drive just shows CD-ROM, where is all the other games have actually read as an Xbox 360 disc. I can tell that either CloneCD or ImgBurn has actually burned something to the media, but I don't my system yet to test them. Is this normal for some backups?

I appreciate any help anyone is willing give.
