    hi..

    - too old, update (free) to latest 6.x version, 6.6.0.16

    - the best i can see is this looks like an LG drive, but am having trouble finding firmware. Even went to a proper LG site - http://us.lgservice.com and can't find info on firmware....so basically i don't know if it's current or out of date

    - yup, Nero's too old to recognise the burner, update Nero

    - turn off IMAPI. here's some good info as to why you should turn it off (change it to manual instead of auto) - http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread25657-1.html
i think the easiest way to do it is via this - http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y178/creaky/untickcdrecordinginXP.jpg

    - the original disc has been burnt too close to outer edge of discs. If you use DVD Shrink, set target size to 4300MB in Shrink's preferences thus avoiding outer edge and not sacrificing much space

    - because the original disc has been burnt too close to outer edge of disc, so will the copied disc. If you use DVD Shrink, set target size to 4300MB in Shrink's preferences thus avoiding outer edge and not sacrificing much space

    - very nice media

    - what's happened there ?. follow ALL suggestions..

    - see previous comment

    - most ppl recommend burning at 4x

I have a GWA-4080N as well. I can't use my dvd drive or burner at the moment. I think it is because none of the actual drivers are installed. Neither the HP site, nor the LG site has the drivers. Can anyone suggest where I can look?

    Thanks
