Hello, When I try to record my VHS tapes to DVD I almost always turns itself off and says "protected context". No I'm not using tapes that have the protection devices built in to them. I'm using tapes that I made from watching TV. When I record directly from my TV it records fine. I've used other VCR's to feed into my recorder and I get the same results "pro-cont". Also is their a updated or system upgrade that will help my recorder? Right now I feel like using my recorder for a football. I think these machines suck but I got it for a gift. Can you help me, I have a iLO DVDRO4 recorder. I have made 10 DVD's so far but have sent 100hrs of frustration to get 10 DVD's.
