Hi, I just got a dual layer burner and I'm looking around the web for a good deal on dual layer DVDs. Anyone know any good buys?

Verbatim is the best DL media by far imho. Memorex is really usually Ritek D01 DL media as is Ridata. I'd stick with +R DL. The Ridata will work as long as your firmware is up to date and your drive can booktype the +R DL media as DVD-ROM so standalones can read the burned disk. The best price you can hope for based on recent deals is about $2 per disk. Sales often start on Sundays. A good site for finding deals is BensBargains. FatWallet is another site.

The sites you were directed to are good, but if I were you I'd check for compatibility with your player before buying very many blanks. I've had s___ for luck gettin' Verbatim DLs to play properly in anything I've tried so far. Take a look at iMation. Good luck!

Smith_fan, are you booktyping your DL media to DVD-ROM? I don't have any players that will read +R DL media without booktyping to DVD-ROM. All will after doing so.
