Hey just bought a 200 dollar dvd player and the fan died 1 month after the warrenty went up.
This wouldnt be a problem if i could just replace it. But the manufacturer put yellow putty stuff all over the place.
It's glued in a bunch of places and i was wondering if it would work if i just cut the wire and solder the new fan on the old wires.

Thanks so much! I'd rather pay 5 bucks for a new fan than another 100 bucks for them to "diagnose" then fix it. :p
