Converting mov to mpeg (quicktime movie to windows media)

    Hello,

    I've looked on the forums and googled for it but...

    any ideas how to convert a mov file (quicktime) to a mpeg file, am hoping someone can recommend a good (ie free) program to me.

    Well you can use Tmpgenc with the "QT Mov VFAPI Plugin" and you will also need to have Quicktime installed...

    It is free for mpeg-2 encodeing for 30 days and free for mpeg-1 encodeing forever and you should be able to find it and the QT Plugin in the Software section of this site....
