Nero-Recode2 - When it pulls up BOTH widescreen & Fullscreen

I tried to back up a movie yesterday in Nero Recode2. The program is easy to use (alot like Shrink) but [bold]I ran into a problem when the disk I tried to back up had a FULLSCREEN and a WIDESCREEN version.[/bold] Usually - I can do either a full movie or Just the movie - but because it had both sizes - Nero pulled both up and I could not figure out how to JUST PICK ONE.

    Can anyone help me?

I tried to see if I could just drag it over (like when we do in Shrink Re-Author) but it would not let me do that.

I also tried to see if I could go to full movie and just drag over what I wanted - I saw an option that said DISABLE - so I clicked on parts I didnt want and hit the disable button - and I seemed like it was going to take those out but the amount of MB were not even close to what it should have been (ie- the fullscreem movie was 2000MB but when I hit disable it only decreased by 600MB)

I am sure there is an easy way to do this - I just dont know how.

Any assistance woul dbe greatly appreciated.

You'll need to choose one when it comes to this:

Use the preview function in full screen mode and see which one is fullscreen/widescreen...

Deselect both when previewing by clicking any place in the white area. See where my mouse is hovering over:

Now, since both are deselected, choose the one you want to get rid of. in this example, I chose the second one just by clicking on it.

Then press [bold]Delete[/bold] from your keyboard.

Now I'm left with one, and Recode does not need to compress since it will fit onto a single layer dvd.

    Hope this helps!

You have those screen captures down perfect. I keep forgetting to do things the simple way, and sometimes it is just clicking the other mouse button and selecting an option there :) I have tried the drag method also, but the way you show it is easier.

    1000 thanx!

I cant believe it is just THAT EAST! THAT EASY!
I had previously tried a million things - well what I didnt know to do was clicking on the white then deleting what I wanted out.

You explained exactly what I was trying to accomplish. I pulled Nero Recode up just to try and make sure I understood you ok. I pulled the movie back up through it and easy as pie - I just deleted it out using your directions. I appreciate your help. I have been trying to use my Nero more so I can learn it and utilize it since so many ppl like it.

The first time I used Recode (maybe a year ago), I didn't know how to get rid of one version of the movie. It took some experimenting of 'clicking this' , 'clicking that'....

    Glad I could help ya...
