how do i ftp and be online at the same time on my pc?

    i tried to ftp to my xbox then i coudnt get online on my pc. so every time i want to ftp i have to change the ip addressd from auto detect to 192.168.0.1 and if i want to get online i have to make it auto detect if u can help me fix this problem i would be very thankfull.

    Router. One cord to xbox, one to pc. Or wireless. Keep on DHCP, when you turn on your xbox it will assign an ip in the 192.168.1.xxx range.

    DHCP is what assigns each computer on your network an I.P. address. Your xbox is considered a computer when connected with the router, and thus it assigns it an I.P. address.

    IF you can' get it to work don't make the xbox IP 192.168.0.1, that might affect the network, make it in the 192.168.1.xxx range....like 192.168.1.010.
