Dvd Quality

    I am currently using dvd decrypter with dvd shrink and Nero 6 to back up dvd's. I have sporadic problems with the copies skipping,pausing,and freezing. What can I do to improve the quality of my back-ups.

    Use high quality media like Taio Yudens, Verbatims, Maxell, Fuji.

    Burn no faster than 4x. Set the target size in shrink to 4300.

    Follow the guides by bbmayo listed in my signature block step by step.

    If you do that you should not have any issues at all.

    Also, open Decrypter and check the make/model and current firmware of your burner, make sure it is up to date. Use the Tools tab, Drive and Capabilities it should look like this

    Then use the Check for Firmware Updates tab and make sure. Also no multi-tasking while burning and make sure your HDD is defraged.
