I've been using DVD shrink to archive my DVD collection on my pc but I'm now starting to run out of hard drive space. I plan on using this PC to connect to my TV (DVI) to stream the movies. Is there a program that can convert my ISO's straight to a smaller file without losing quality? I could care less about the size being able to fit on a single DVD or CD since they will just stay on my hard drive. I'm just looking to cut down on the size of my files abit so I can add the rest of my movies. I've heard good things about Divx & Xvid and wanted to convert them to whatever file is better for quality. Any one click type programs you can reccomend???
If you actually used DVDShrink to Shrink rather than just remove features then you should compress from the original DVD instead. Try AutoGK, it is easy to use and I believe has a constant quality setting. Should be the equiv of say XviD with Q2. There will be quality loss, but it shouldn't be noticable. Not sure if AutoGK supports anamorphic encoding or not though as I wouldn't recommend resizing.
