This is my first post on this site so please be gentle with me I have searched and searched on the site and feel I may have an idea of the solution to my problem but would like to confirm it with you all. I just purchased a LG DVDr drive 16X, purchased two sets of dvdr's. PC World cheapies and TDK's. The software I'm using is PowerProducer 2 Gold Now since I'm very new to this, I am using the cheap dvdr's to play with. I created 2 dvd's from AVI files using powerproducer and no problem whatsoever. The 3rd attempt didn't fair so well. I did exactly the same things I'd done with the first 2 attempts, however when I play it back on my dvd player on the tv, it only comes on one half of the screen. In other words I can see the whole picture but it is compressed to only the top half of the tv monitor. I put the samd dvd in my daughters player and it is fine. My conclusion is that I shouldn't be using the cheap dvdr's. Is that a correct assumption? Oh and one other thing. PowerProducer gold always seems to crash on me even after I downloaded the updates. I really enjoy the ability to create menus etc and wonder if there is another relatively cheap programme that will do the same. I also feel that once I get a handle on this powerproducer will be very limited in it's abilities. Thanks for the help
