I have a nec dvd_rw nd 1300a i've been burning dvds for a while now and most problems i have i can figure them out ,but this one i cant. i have always used dvd-r i recently purchased 4 memorex dvd-r spools and heres the funny thing only two out of the four spools worked .i tried evry disc in the non-working ones what could cause this problem? i dont uderstand why 100 dvds would work but not the other 100 they were the same brand same evrything could you guys help?

ok i got rid of em but now im having the same problem with sony only they dont work at all now im trying verbatim and they seem to work fine with a nec nd 1300a can i use dvd+r? and thanx for the tip on memosux. THE JOKER
yeah stick with the better blank media which would be Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim also i would make sure your firmware is up to date check here http://www.firmware.fr.st/ and yes you should be able to use DVD+R BUT if you do i would booktype the DVD+R to DVD-ROM that makes the media the most compatable with all standalone players
