Hi all, I have converted my 1st net movie with the Film Machine and the output produced two files ei: audio ts and video ts, the audio ts folder has nothing and the video ts folder has 4 files, all vob files and Nero is looking for required files like ts.ifo and ts.bup and the dvd might be unplayable. does this sound right (the 4 converted oputput files, all vob or should I be using another software for converted movie files (avi movie file) Any help appreciated, thanks, Bill.
Well done the hard part is finished. Now why not download the trial version of tmpgenc dvd author , load your video files into it,add menus and backgrounds or edit your newly created mpeg files before utilising nero to burn your project to disc. Now you ask me this seems hard, well if you look in the guides tab at the top of the page you will find a basic and advanced tmpgenc dvd author tutorial for you to check out. heres a link for the re author software: http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/tmpgenc_dvd_author.cfm
you have lost me a bit here andmerr, the film machine only accepts avi's,(i think)and there should be no need for TMPGEnc not used film machine for a while, but i am sure i used to burn the ts folder straight with cloneDVD2,and i believe it also produces an iso as well, you need CCE engine as well i only use TMPGEnc when i am converting mpeg's extracted from bin images,(after i have converted them with mainconcepts encoder first,of course) or is that what you had in the beginning?> bin images?? in which case, how did you use the film machine to make a ts folder
Hi again, Film Machine had everything included except a video encoder and I used QuEnc which took 15 hrs. to encode. Is it normal to have 4 vob files when finished converting. This was a avi movie file from the net. I tried to install the CCE trial ver. 2.70 but can't get past the window with the reference file and setup file. Can't figure out what to put in there, tried everything possible, but it says invalid reference file. When finished with converting a movie which software should be used to burn the dvd, Nero or a software thats used to rip a dvd, Xcopy etc, also should I be using another program other than the Film machine to convert avi files. thanks for any help.
i always burn my ts folders with clonedvd2,but you can use nero the film machine will give the best quality i find,i use cce 2 pass with it,but it does take a long time if you want a quick no nonsense app that produces half decent results, try VSO'S dvixtodvd, available free from this site
Hi Hursty, I like the Film Machine also, but I can't install the CCE. What files do you put in the window with the reference file (top line & what one goes on the bottom line (setup file) tried everything possible using ver. 2.70. Thanks for any help. Bill
what, you cant install CCE full stop?,or you are having problems using it with film machine? you only use cce engine with the film machine, you dont actually open up the cce app, just locate it through film machine
Hi Hursty, yes, I know that I just select the CCE among the other ones (hightlight it with the mouse) the problem is like I said in my message concerning the window with the reference file line and setup file line. Can you tell me what goes on those two lines so I can finish installing the CCE. I just finished converting my movie in Divx/dvd program about 5 hrs, fairly fast I must say. only it turned out not so good. the sound is okay but the video is really blurry, out of focus a lot. I burned it with Nero, 8 minutes, at 8x on Memorex media. Maybe I should try it again with Film machine and CCE (if i can install it) thanks for more help. Bill
@billham20 - was just passing. Whilst i don't use Film Machine/CCE, i did notice the Memorex reference. Ugh, have a passing glance at my sig...
