when i try to open nero, then go to make a dvd, i get this error message.
    "fails to load capturing subsystem".
is it a failure in my video card? i can make a 'data' disc, but cannot do any other format. do i have to uninstall drivers? is it nero? now that 7 is out, the site seems to not support nero 6 as much.. any clues?

hiya, i replied to a thread with same error but can't find it. hadn't yet found an answer though yet...i think i recommended (feebly!) checking that directx 9.0c was installed as this error sounds graphic-related

well, i am going to try to uninstall drivers one by one and see if it fixes it. if not, i may just try a whole new program.

well, i un-installed my video driver and then did a re-boot, nothing. went back and did a restore to an earlier time (when i knew it worked) and nothing. did a download of a new directx9c and again......no fix.

see, when i open nero, i go to options such as 'make my own dvd' and that error window pops up, so it will not allow access to the proggy.
now i am afraid if i un-install nero and try a re-install, i wount be able to update to the newest version because all the new support from nero's site is for version 7.

    any ideas now.......

Nero 6 stuff is still there - http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php

try uninstalling then uninstalling completely via Nero's Clean Tools...

6.x is great - son't give up on it yet. but 7 - pah!, that's not for me :)

sorted, that link corruption is one of AD's 'features'. simple edit, no changes, then save sorts it out.. good luck
