DVD tray wont open!!

    Eevery time i click to open my DVD rom the lil green light flashes but it doen't open. Any ideas?

    my most used drive does that, well when i first spin up the drive anyway. i just tap the tray as i press eject button and it opens..and works fine (so far touch wood)

    There should be a small pinhole on the face plate. You need to stick a paperclip in it and that should manually eject the disc from the drive (power off). There might be something jammed in your drive.

    Seems the drive has failed, send or take it back for testing or replacment : ) if you have a disc in the drive do what DogBomb said...

    I have hp300c dvd writer and mine does that for my 1st burn of the day, the light will flash and door will not open. I have to open Nero Burning Rom and then hit the eject button on top menu from there and it opens and will work fine rest of the day tell the computer is turned off. I am not sure if it might be something to do with the install of Nero or maybe my drive might require flashing but as long as all I need to do is open Nero and hit the eject button, I am happy with that.
