hey everyone,i just tried to burn a movie in simulation.i edited the dvd took out sub tiles and different lang. then i did a simulation burn.everything went fine till there was 4 mins left and the copy to hard drive process froze.then i got not responding,the movie was old spiderman,i own it,was just tring cause i just got this sony dru810a,want to see what it could do.the burn software i used was anydvd and clone dvd.please help maybe im not doing it right

i burned it on dvd.it said it was burning a dvdrom.only can play in pc.wont play in dvd player.want am i doing wrong?
Try using DVDIdentifier to see what the DVD format actually is. What media were you using? You could also use DVDinfopro. These are available at this site - use the software tab.
i identified disk but then what?why did i do this?it says its a dvdrom will play in 943 dvd players.but now what do i do?what did i do wrong?
Hmmmm...I'm puzzeled, I re-read your first post and am trying to understand what burning in "simulation" means. Is this something that is done in CloneDVD2? I have this program, and I guess I am not familiar with this aspect of the application. I will look tonight when I backup The Village. I always just do the burn without simulation. Can anyone explain what a simulation (must mean fake) burn is and why you would do one?
well i did clone first.then i use dvd decrpter,decrypted file.then i unzipped file and used dvd shrink to burn.i took out all the different languages.then i ran program with preview.it copied the movie to hard drive then the program asked for clean disk.so i used a r+ verbatium dl disk.burned it with no errors.the movie will play in pc but wont play in dvd playing in my room hooked to the tv.dvd player just keeps saying loading.what did i do wrong?when i identified the disk it said it was a r+ dvdrom is that wrong for playing in a dvd player?please help also i only have 2 more disks for now,dont want to ruin them all....lol...the villiage was an ok movie,the ring was kooler.im sorry,i didnt update my question.i didnt check spiderman 1 to see what it was.just using this movie to figure out how to do.so much more complicated with a dvd burner then cdrom.cdrom can burn from one drive to the other drive.one reads and one writes.wish they had that for dvd burner,but they dont,huh?that can break protection away[lol]huh? thanks peace
@rugripper Go to bbmayo's home page, located in my signature block. He has a great guide for burning DL media. This should take you throught the process step by step. Print it out and do exactly as it says without taking any short cuts and see if that solves the issue. Luck!
oh,i have to use a - or + rw dvd disk,huh?it wont work with any of the r only disks huh?by the way thanks peace
i just downloaded dvd region free,its in my system tray.know nero recode 2 sees it.it gives me choices of dvd-5,dvd-9,8cm,and custom.which do i use to copy a movie that will play in regular dvd player thats attached to tv?please help real new,dont have a clue....thanks peace also i have verbatum dvd +r dl discs.does that matter?
